Our beloved university is turning 225 years old in 2014 and the King’s Students’ Union is inviting you to help celebrate the milestone!

On Saturday, March 1st 2014, the KSU is throwing the 225 Party, a huge bash for current King’s students, faculty, staff and alumni in the King’s Gymnasium. The party will be full of traditional games and events, music from King’s students past and present, drink specials and sherry served up by The Wardroom staff and a whole lot more. Tickets go on sale Monday, February 24th.

The KSU has a ton of incredible King’s-related musical acts lined up, all of whom got their musical start at the school.

His remix of “Call Me Maybe” has been viewed over 1.3 million times on YouTube. He regularly spins at clubs downtown. Did I mention he is in his third-year at King’s?

The KSU has a ton of surprises lined up for the evening. We’ve been digging in the archives and will revive traditional events and games which have been played at the King’s parties of the past. The Wardroom will be serving several 225 themed drink specials, in addition to their regular offerings.

Tickets go on sale Monday, February 24th at the Alex Hall Front Desk. Tickets are $2.25 for students, staff and faculty and $22.50 for university alumni. There will be a limited amount of tickets available, so make sure you pick up yours in advance. Any leftover tickets will be available at the door.

GIVEN THAT THERE ARE A LIMITED NUMBER OF TICKETS AVAILABLE, THIS IS A KING’S ONLY EVENT. TICKETS WILL ONLY BE SOLD TO KING’S STUDENTS, STAFF, FACULTY AND ALUMNI. NON-KING’S INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE LOOKING TO BUY TICKETS CAN CONTACT HAYDN WATTERS AT CVP@KSU.CA

Please remember to bring your King’s ID and another form of ID to the party. The IDs will be checked at the door and are needed in order to buy drinks.
