On Saturday, February 1st, KSU Council approved the following referendum question regarding union dues, which will be asked of students in the upcoming KSU Spring 2014 Elections on Wednesday, February 12th and Thursday, February 13th.
“Be it resolved that the King’s Students’ Union membership dues be increased by $9.40 per semester.
In addition to voting for positions in the elections on Feb. 12th and 13th, students will be voting on this referendum question.
We are inviting students to run a campaign for or against the referendum question. Nominations forms are available online and in front of the KSU Office. After submitting their forms, candidates will be able to campaign for or against the referendum question through posters, campaign pages, etc. They will also be allowed to participate in speeches on Tuesday, February 11th in the Wilson Common Room at 7PM and speak for/against the referendum question. Referendum campaign forms are due at 11:59PM on Friday, February 7th.
